When under stress talk to colleagues, friends: Dr Deepak Giri

Jamshedpur, Sept 9:  Noted social organization working 24×7 for the alleviation of mental stress and prevention of suicidal thoughts among people, organized a workshop on the occasion of World Suicide Prevention Day on Friday.  Renowned psychiatrist Dr Deepak Kumar Giri who is discharging his responsibilities at Sadar Hospital in Khasmahal and was the keynote speaker at the workshop organized by Muskan observed, “When under mental stress, narrate your problems to your friends, colleagues or classmates. By sharing your problems causing mental stress, you will not only get relief through sharing but also get helpful suggestions that may ease your problems.” Sharad Singh, General Manager of Tata Motors was the Chief Guest at the workshop organized by Muskan at Telco Club on Friday. He appreciated Muskan for the organization’s commendable work in providing panacea to mentally stressed persons.

Anirban Basu, Psychiatrist at Tata Motors Hospital said, “Success is not the measure of life, instead, enjoying life is real living. This way, mental stress will be few and far between.”

Dr Sudeshna Das stated, “Difficult situations and adverse conditions create mental stress. During such periods talk to your friends about your mental problems. The tension will subside and you will find solutions to your mental stress.”

Students of Siksha Niketan School presented a short play, ‘Ruk Jao, Rok Lo’ that sent out a positive message towards living life. Uday Chandravanshi anchored the programme. The General Secretary of Muskan, Vijendra Kumar delivered the welcome address while the vote of thanks was offered by Laxman Prasad.
